Hi Res! does another amazing “choose your own adventure” interactive style whatever website. This time for the show Lost I’m not quite convinced about the show…seems a little hoky. The site also has its moments of cheese, as well, but i’m not going to hold that against the good people at hi.
I like stilleto. hey stiletto, if you need some help…i dunno for whatever, call me.
this new page for picturebox inc is smart, crappy and deceptively modern. web sites don’t need to be complicated, folks. seriously.
speaking of functional simplicity, motion graphics seem to also have gone the way of superfluous drivel. You really don’t need 84 layers of 3d space with matrix effects and shallow surface treatments. sure, i have the urge to occasionally try this stuff out, but just like fashion mullets and faux hawks are going to make you look like vanilla ice to your future offspring, so will trapcode’s latest magical plugins, as they tie you down to what is currently a slump in creative motion graphics. enough ranting, my apologies.
take a deep breath and look at this new piece from Imaginary Forces. Watch it twice. Its nice. It does its job. Now look at the Silver City titles. there is always the exception. Classic.
ubu web is back online thanks to the good hearted people at WFMU. spend some time there, make your coworkers think you’ve lost it.
